Almost everyone in rank is using the Octane-Rev strat especially third partying and it is really punishing. What do you guys think about this new "meta" and do you think that they need a nerf?
Really interested if people will still use the octane-rev combo in Olympus since it’s a bigger map.
Funny thing i dont even take the rev ult. When the ult is finished and your sent back to the totem the game decides everyone with epilepsy should embrace this giant white flash to send them on the ground shaking for family to come in screaming to help.
For this reason I wont even take that thing. Its sad too great feature just shame not everyone can enjoy it without severe medical concerns.
Octane is just good now. His hp regen means dont need as much healing as when you know your in the clear you can just regen it back. The jump pad change made a huge difference as you no longer need to time it to get that extra oomph of the jump. Over all he is well rounded character now.

I main BH since preseason to basically S4/5 I think (playing a lot less since S2 tho). People called for buffs constantly... BH doesn’t get it.
I play other characters and a slew of BH buffs come into place... coincidence? Most likely...
Okay I main Rev since his come uppance. Gets nerfed within 3 weeks... I still play him but he never gets buffed until I don’t play him anymore...
So Horizon comes and even before that, in the words of the devs “we made her ult slightly underwhelming to see how it fares” cause I stated “A scottish older woman that has a black hole as ult with gravity defying tact?! next main”... so nerfed from get-go... coincidence... too often at this point...
So I play Caustic for 2 months or something (still barely playing the game but mainly using him)... gets nerfed to the ground. Not a problem for me but it’s still significant... coincidence? I’m getting suspicious
Now I’m playing Octane for barely 3 weeks I think... he’s gonna get nerfed!!! Coincidence... nahhhh...
they’re looking at my acc to see who gets buffed & who isn’t... my acc and just popularity (thats why Wraith & Path are still getting nerfed & buffed. I have nothing to do with that).
Last evidence... I almost never call Hawaiian fat guy by his name... what do they do to spite me? BUFF AFTER BUFF AFTER BUFF!!!

I am a Revenant main and have been since his release and I'm going to honestly say: he does not need a big nerf.
He is nowhere near overpowered, he is just frustrating to play against. His Passive Ability is one of the most underwhelming abilities in the game, so it needs a buff (unlimited climb is a great concept). It's his Tactical and Ultimate that make him good.
I'm going to be honest here: the death totem's cooldown does need an increase by at most a minute. As someone who plays Revenant all the time, I do think that for an ability as strong and frustrating as the death totem, his current cooldown feels like a bit too much. Revenant should be a high skill Legend, and most new Revenant players are forgiven for just throwing the totem down whenever and wherever they feel like it by the what I think is a slightly too short cooldown.
That's all they should do to his kit for a long while. Give him unlimited climbing as a buff to his very underwhelming passive, and a slight cooldown nerf by at most a minute to his death totem. No more or less than that in my opinion as a Diamond Revenant main.
As for Octane, I don't know man. My second least played Legend and as a Revenant player I don't find him too annoying because I silence all Octanes I come across which dramatically reduces the difficulty and frustration of taking on an Octane.
I do not think Octane needs to be the center of any nerfing at all, they spent all this time buffing him it would just feel so odd. Revenant if they were gonna nerf him I guess totem cool down would make sense but I always carry 2 accelerants on him anyway so wouldn’t be too bad. I also think his passive needs to be better, maybe not unlimited climb but at least twice as much as now, nice and quiet too (can’t remember if his climb is completely silent as of now)
