Fight or Fright Feedback
The new fight or fright game mode is pretty epic and I've already played quite some matches.
There are however a few things I would like to note.
- The first zone takes forever to close in completely, which just feels kind of slow. Every player knows where the first circle is going to be even before the drop, so I wouldn't mind having it closing pretty fast. That would also make the shadow side more fun to play in the first phase.
- Shadows are unable to gain health back
Shadow apparently can get their health back by going outside of the circle.
Legends and shadows can earn health back by killing a shadow or legends respectively! So there is a way to get health back but you gotta work for it!
- The final squad cannot communicate with each other, not with pings or mics. Yet, in the final screen the winner legends are able to speak to each other through mics. I would suggest allowing legends to ping locations and enemies and enable mics during the 2nd phase.
- Shadows and legends get to know the location of the dropship at the same time, which makes for a lot of shadow camping at the final location. Allow legends to see the drop location 30 seconds before the shadows get to see it.
- The event is right now making a big mess with all the player stats. The rules of these are not communicated with players at all, so everyone is saying something differently. Right now, there is no way to count a 'win' in shadowfall, yet all games you play count towards your win ratio. This means that whatever you do in shadowfall, your win ratio will be decreased.
Kills as a shadow are not counted towards kills, yet everytime you die it counts it. So meaning that your K/D will most likely be negatively impacted.
Kills as a legend still count correctly to badges and trackers, but I am not sure if that is on purpose.
This mode is ment to be fun, but players that care about stats do not want to play as shadows at all, meaning that they will most likely leave the game once they die. I've seen already quite a few games in which 1/3 of the lobby left the game after they died.
My suggestion would be to make this gamemode truly an event gamemode, and disabling all the player stats for this mode. Meaning that no deaths, kills, number of games are counted and no badges can be earned during the event.
