First day vibes pretty bad.

Title sums it up. Not digging it so far. I actually enjoy more prolonged fights which may put me in the minority. It feels very streaky with less time fighting and that’s just not my vibe. Will let it settle and see, but first impression is no bueno. Ash’s movement is wild and fun though (way over tuned) but that’s just how apex does balancing these days.

  • Agreed. There's a fine line when tuning a game. Too little and no one even realizes you've changed anything. Too much and suddenly you're playing something you never signed up for. I know it's easy to bust on the dev for never getting it right, but these last two seasons the changes have been way over the mark. And I would have minded either season a lot less if I knew that the season would end and things would go back to normal, but now? It's out of the pan and into the fire. I shudder to think what next season will bring.

  • Yep, confirms all of my suspicions.  I just get killed faster now by the same ridiculous enemies I have no business being in the same lobby with.  Multiple games of me & my teammates getting decimated and the skill distribution chart doesn't change.  It keeps telling me we are a better team in a better lobby while we get obliterated.

I'm feeling the end is now.

There was a lot of good stuff in season 23. I think supports being over-tuned was the biggest issue. It's good to shake up the meta sometimes, but like you said, too big of changes disrupts what the game is supposed to be.

Apex feels like it's having a bit of an identity crisis with this season.
