@EdwardDLuffy It is interesting to think about the difference of when I was a kid vs my own. I grew up in the middle of nowhere and had a bb gun at like 7 years old. By 10 I'm fairly certain I had a 22 and was killing all kinds of small animals. Shot my first deer with a 3030 at like 12 or 13. It was just normal there at the time. I now live in the city suburbs so hunting is a bit of a pain. I havent done it in years so my kids arent exposed to guns at all.

@hayhor True, I suppose Apex might fall into a gray area. I mean it's not as gory or intense with emotions as Battle Field. There are the finishers and stuff but it still has a very "game" vibe to it IMO.
VS BFV can be very realistic especially the melee attack. I don't think i would want my kid being exposed to that. My big concern with internet gaming though and kids would be the weirdos on the internet and less about the game content.
My nephew is 14 and we game together infrequently. It's interesting gaming with him because he gets upset when he loses a fight or match. So I use it as an opportunity to teach him that hey, it's okay we can still have fun if we don't always come out on top. That it's better to laugh at your mistakes then get angry or upset about it. Then he gets the taste of success every once in a while...
Even some of the rude people we have bumped into when we play trios. Gives me a chance to teach him how to handle people like that without letting their actions impact or effect him.
