@W3stminst3r Not everything is cheating you know. You seem pretty obsessed wiht the topic. Although it could be said I am somewhat obsessed with matchmaking so there you go.
Towards the end of the season it's the same for me. Insta death every single encounter. Casuals stop playing so you just get matched over and over against people above your pay grade. Match making is broken in that scenario; there simply isn't enough casuals to match us up against one another or we get distributed amongst players far above us (if that's the case... why?). I think not playing end-season is probably the best solution. It seems lots of others take time off once they finish the BP or whatever. Every end of battle pass is the same; game is unplayable for us casuals. You are just a KD pill.

So I have been thinking about this a lot, because netcode is something I am deeply interested in.
If the Server is the exclusive authority to adjudicate damage, then a Client (Console, PC) could not cheat in any way to tell it that a single shot was adequate (unless we are talking Kraber head shot...).
If the Client is able to actually convince the Server that one shot did like 400 damage, say, then the netcode isn't the issue, the dev team is.
But it is more likely that the netcode in its attempts to "catch up", so it compressed shots together (since the Server gets data with a different time stamp and must smooth out the events in shorter time span). If that is the case, the report should not show just one shot, but how ever many would be necessary. That is different from you "hearing" a single shot.
@RockDokRock, I can't understand the attraction to FortNite. It is like playing Mario Brothers. How is it number one played game?

@MrGreenWithAGunNo idea, I've never played fortnite nor have I mentioned it. I believe they were one of the first big Battle Royale titles so with that comes a market share.

@RockDokRock
Why is Fortnite so popular?
Because UEFN. Players can make own games inside the game. As a result there are hundreds of different things to do inside Fortnite.
Tired of playing BR PvP-> Go play guitar hero style music game, prop hunt, parkour, shoot zombies (or bots) or drive cars off of a huge ramp into a dartboard for points.Fortnite is about fun for everyone. Thats why they are making big bucks. Thats why they have LEGO/Eminem/Lady Gaga/Metallica/Marvel collabs and Apex has Post Malone (no diss on Post Malone).
Go all in on the fun for the masses part BUT should you want to play serious PvP that too is possible.
Best thing about the UEFN is that by making games to Fortnite, they get paid royalties or something on how many people play their games. Fortnite version of OnlyUp had massive amount of players and according to some reports at some points the guys who made that had earned about 3,4million USD from it. EA would never.
CS is a competitive shooter with no bs. Apex is somewhere in between not really knowing what it wants to be.
Some of the streamers made some really fun looking mods on R5 Reloaded Apex like prop hunt etc but there is no support from EA for any of that as they want to maintain the serious image.

PC is brutal right now.
Matchmaking and cheaters have been issues since I started in S8 but I think S20 wa the real turning point.
I have little faith in Respawn turning it around either. They core issues of matchmaking, cheaters, smurfs, server performance, and audio have remained unchanged for years while they do things like rework the achievements menu and fail to add QOL features that have been asked for forever. At this point they'll just pump out modes, skins, and legends until people stop paying for them. It's honestly amazing to me that anyone is still spending money on Apex coins given the state of the game, but I guess lots of people have more money than sense.
- 11 months ago@HappyHourSumwur I keep saying that I won't be spending any money until they explicitly state that they are going to use profits to improve the audio, increase server tick rate, and invest more to combat cheaters.
It's a fun game, but it's impressive how much Respawn just ignore some of the core issues. The sound in the game is a complete disaster. I can barely tell if someone is above or below me in the tall buildings on E-District. Guess I should consider myself lucky that I heard any footsteps at all!- HappyHourSumwur11 months agoSeasoned Ace
@WhoopFighterSame here. Not paying for anything in Apex until they start doing something meaningful to fix matchmaking, combat cheaters, eliminate smurfs, increase server performance, &/or improve audio. That means I won't ever spend another penny on Apex coins since Respawn is unable or unwilling to do anything about those things.

Almost everyone does not cheat in apex; give your head a shake. What a daft statement.
- r1ggedgame11 months agoSeasoned Ace@RockDokRock if its not cheaters (which i cant believe by the sheer amount of sketchy stuff happening) , it leaves only a handful of options then ... and if you dare to post those , you likely get a ban on this forum.

The person I mentioned in the last post is still playing and they haven't done anything with it, but he promotes cheats on YouTube. :D Isn't this funny? But they removed my links from the post :D Interesting policy.
