The Rampage alone as others have commented is just an inferior (& a lot slower) version of the Spitfire but attach a Thermite Grenade & it becomes one of the few weapons you can wipe out an entire squad with one clip with bullets to spare.But without the luxury of a Thermite attachment it's a methodical but criminally slow weapon where Heavy AR weapons like the Hemlok & Flatline (is it me or does the recoil feel a lot tighter on it this season) have a far higher hit/damage rate & are more prefential pick-ups for me plus its a weapon more equipped for mid-range fire & less so up close although the hip-fire isn't too bad for it.Keeping hold of a Rampage in favour of say a Flatline or a Hemlok for me often depends on what backpack I have & the spare capacity to carry several Thermites with it like a purple or even gold backpack but without one or even a white packpack other weapons are more effective when space is short .Saying that it can be a very useful backup weapon accompanying a 301.
The rampage just has too many advantages currently. The drop off isn't as big a factor with better sights and a decent kit. A thermite grenade makes it ridiculous and they are everywhere...plus since the new smg is a hybrid, theres plenty of heavy to go around.
