Get this Buster Sword outta the game please

It's fun at first, till you realize how crazy people can abuse this sword.

I understand it's a limited time, but the sword being in the field makes the Apex experience unplayable. I'm sticking to playing ranked lol. Overall, Apex can already be an unenjoyable time. This sword is broken, if I had to be honest. (Lets not even talk about "sbmm") lol

Even in certain mechanical situations, as an octane main, I try to create space to counter how busted this sword is, I can be canceled from jumping pad so long as the player can hit me with the sword.

Also, another important note...the audio for the buster sword is almost non existent.

You can say, I'm just another guy complaining...but I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way about an OP sword just so people are motivated to BUY the sword.

This game consistently disappoints me. Respawn is lucky, I'm just addicted to this game. I can't wait for this event to be over and people owning the sword that won't have the abilities.

Yea I think that since this mode has been going on for a few weeks now, people are getting smarter at countering the 'busted sword'. I feel that there is an unspoken consensus especially with the majority of the comments here on how frustrating it is. Because it is an LTM, I've chilled out a bit knowing that it will disappear soon. How I see it, the nature and behavior of the players in this game mode LOVES to abuse something any chance they get.
Remember Three Strikes? As long as you have NewCastle and Lifeline, you will survive much longer than most without those characters haha. Res after Res after Res.
IMO, it's good initiative for Respawn to spice things up with events like this but also bad judgement.
I can't say I don't mind it but rather looking at it in a perspective where, if Respawn is capable of creating modes like this, they should be pretty cautious on how they incorporate new modes into a game where the true nature of the game is the BR aspect and a FAIR chance to reach Champion (Frustrating enough as it is. in general. SBMM *cough cough*). Every time I do this mode, every squad wins champ via Buster Sword.
I caved in and started abusing the Buster Sword and winning via buster sword doesn't even feel rewarding LOL. I took it as proving a point that most people who pick up a Busted Sword that they would definitely have an advantage.

@everyone. I appreciate everyone's comments, opinions and perspectives! I feel that this is a healthy way of reflecting on our experiences with the game. I know that it may be mostly a complaint of mine being that it's ONLY an LTM but I like looking at it in the grand scheme of things and how Respawn continues their path on making the game great or bad. I hope that they actually reflect on all of our concerns and comments here and actually listen as well as continuing to improve their game realistically, with fairness and integrity and not through monetary gain.

@AREYOUSITHREOUS I'm glad you've found a way to enjoy the event more. It is interesting tho that it seems as people have gotten better with the sword the amount of complaints has gone up a lot. I have friends that hate it after enjoying it at first. Maybe 3 weeks of it is too much.

the sword was broken from the start, but on the good side ... duo queues are now filled better than ever
just look at this ... the stairs should be an obstacle, the reach shouldnt be possible and the aim is also off for it to be a 60 dmg hit ... not to mention he doesnt make any sound except the sword one. just yet another broken item brought into the game ...

@HappyHourSumwur yea , best thing is ... played duos and the queue often reverts to trios ... and there wasnt a disconnect which would make it behave like this ... i guess they have a hard time getting filled queues for that crap
