@BaldWraithSimpI'm pretty sure Valorant has areas that aren't well covered by servers. Anyway, the game benefits from Riot Direct, a solution that Respawn probably can't afford (let's not forget that Riot is an older and much bigger studio, with over 20 billion $ revenue from League of Legends alone) and which may not work for the high number of multiplayer games EA has under its sleeve. Something similar to Riot Direct is also not doable at the snap of a finger, it took many deals and a few years to develop.
I don't think adding Bahrain data centers to the list was a failure. There are more games using the hybrid cloud solution provided by Multiplay, we don't know how things are for them in this region. Also, it's not like we can actually see how many players use it, there may only be a shortage for a certain game mode, skill or rank bracket, at certain times of day. Pretty sure Bahrain centers would've been much better populated if they had been available from the start of the game.
In the end, I'd say that EA / Multiplay will expand coverage as soon as there is a possibility. They benefit the most in the end and profits go way beyond Apex.
