The comparison of TF2 and Apex is funny. They are different games.
And one likely has no server load vs the other that is likely maxed out.

@hayhor No if TF2 servers are shaky at all, you'll see frames dropping all over the place. I just had a game like that. Skipping the whole match. And if it's just a single player lagging, you'll get dropped in an instant.
TF2 servers have been ultra reliable from launch. Even last December when it was free for PS Plus members on PS4, it was rock solid. There were 80-100K online regularly during that month.

You really need to play TF2 multiplayer to understand it. It’s actually still got a player base for its main game mode and servers at least as reliable as Apex. TF2 is a success story still. You’ll only run into trouble if you pick esoteric game modes at anything but peak hours. Main game is always going though.
