I don't think EA gives 2 * about hackers. They would rather let people hack than to go through 345622384702 reports to follow up on.

It is getting worser and worser, day after day. After the first streak of bans during week 2, the number of cheaters has slowly ramped up to amazing levels.

I'm not a newb either- I'm a former Rust player with 2k+ hours on my back, and if there's something I've learned by playing in the EU servers, is how to spot a cheater using an ESP or a damn aimbot. And now there are -tons- of them in Apex, as much as at least one team per match (if not more).

I've even got teamed with some of them when I played solo, and it was truly disgusting to see how they pinpointed people behind walls or inside houses from a mile of distance and prefired the hell out of them, never missing a damn shot with a full burst.

Seriously, it's ridiculous. Last week the average number of kills for people was like 600-1000. Now it seems everyone has 2k+ kills, the 5k damage in a single game badge and every other "pro" badge. Then you spectate them, and they play like dumb donkeys. There's something SO wrong about that.
