Headsets?

What kind of headsets does everyone use..I have astro a40 tr with mixamp pro with custom presets for apex an audio is still kinda bad as far as footsteps...every other game is perfect I can find u an...

Best headset in the world cant hear audio that simply doesnt work , we were stood right next to a loot tick last night that wasnt making a sound till the * ring flare closed

@X-Genetic-XI've tried many different headsets and only apex has the footsteps problems an its not that there quiet sometimes they just don't exist.. I had a pathfinder set a zipline RIGHT behind me zipline up the dang thing an start to shoot me before I hear a thing

@X-Genetic-X I played cod ghost back in 2013 was ranked in the 200's in team deathmatch used turtle beach x12s I could pinpoint anyone from anywhere..what I can't understand why a game thats old an a old headset how can the footsteps be so good an clear now 2021 on a game that gets regular updates its so bad

  exactly the same here , i come from a long FPS background and have never played a game with this many issues with audio , i get the feeling its something to do with the sheer amount of sounds trying to be played , like i said with the loot tick it was completely silent until another noise stopped , this games audio needs a serious update and urgently sometimes i can hear footsteps from people half a mile away as clear as if they are in the same room yet other times i cant hear the guy stood 2 feet away , its been the No1 issue since launch and they refuse to do any real work on it but will gladly take your money for overpriced cosmetics , get your priorities right Respawn before there's no1 left

    @X-Genetic-X Not hard to understand why Apex has issues. The mixer is more complex than in most other games and there are also a ton of different sounds, so a lot more things that can either fail or distract you.
    
    Unfortunately, there's no quick fix for the sound issues. audio bugs are very difficult to reproduce and solve in general. Simplifying the system is not an option, the experience would just become horrible.
    
    Anyway, to be more on topic, I tried 3 different headsets, all with microphone turned off: Sony WH 1000 XM4, Bose QC35 and Audio Technica ATH M40X. The best experience is on the ATH M40x, which is not a surprise for me, as these headphones are balanced for studio monitoring, while the other 2 use all kinds of enhancement (bass boosts, active noise cancelling, etc.). Only problem with ATH M40x is that they are by far less comfortable than the noise cancelling ones.
