@Cheese9ManS15 seemed to start with absolutely no sbmm whatsoever and it was NOT enjoyable. I switched to Valk, a painful but necessary move, and started playing a lot less. After about two weeks it was as if someone flipped the sbmm switch and everything was back to normal.
Normal is where most players make bad decisions in a desperate bid for kills. With no sbmm the lobbies were filled with unbelievably aggressive players - they never broke ranks with their squadmates, always knew exactly were enemies were, pursued them with surgical precision and the kind of confidence that I would have believed could only come from cheats. Although I have to say in fairness, I never got the impression that people were cheating, just that they felt like they could do anything they wanted knowing that losing wasn't going to happen to them.
As for the new map: I don't love it, but I definitely find myself preferring it over the other two just for the novelty. Still haven't figured out if that map requires a Valk, or if chosing her was just a reaction to the initial sweaty lobbies. Not really interested in going back to find out. Her ult is addictive. Cheap, but addictive.
