@SheepsKing Hop-ups in general are questionable. I get that they pose and serve as an upgrade. But in a lot of cases the upgrade is simply not worth the effort of finding one, let alone pick up the respective weapon for it. (RE-45, Wingman)
Prime example being Quickdraw Holster. Cool idea, but that doesn't fix the weapons. Or well, it doesn't fix the RE-45. You could easily convert this one into "Akimbo" hop-up, and allow it to be used on the RE-45 and P2020. If you have two identical weapons, you can dual-wield them. Would perhaps make the P2020 and RE-45 better.
I kinda want double-tap trigger back. I loved that on the G7 Scout.

@Peri_Longbow_plz @SheepsKing How would you feel about the idea of entirely removing hop ups as an attachment and just having said hop ups integrated into their respective weapons? With a little fine tuning where needed of course.
Asides from the turbocharger...most of the hop ups are just loot pool clutter to be honest.
@MandatoryIDtagNothing really speaks against hop-ups in general. That they exist and are in the game is nothing I particularly despise. What bothers me is that they a) clutter the loot pool and b) are usually useless.
The three exceptions for me are double-tap trigger, Turbo charger and Deadeye's tempo. Shatter caps are situational and most useful on the 30-30 Repeater.
We could do two things. Add all of them into the game simultaneously and make them exclusive to replicators (getting their own tab), so they make replicators more relevant, or make actually useful hop-ups. Like a hop-up for the L-Star that allows for a charged shot for example.I miss the hop up for the Mozambique. It was pretty situational because most people wouldn't stick with the gun for very long even if they had the hop up but if you managed to bag both early game it would wreck people. I like where the Mozambique is right now, but I think its lost its place in the game a bit. It is now a genuinely decent gun to use, but before it was either pretty bad or awesome depending on the hop up.
Right now I feel like the purple hop-ups are just spam, its just more random stuff you pick up early game and dump on the floor when you get a chance. I agree that where they are right now with them isn't a good place and they should look to rework them.

Why waste time on a 'chance' that you might find it? @MandatoryIDtag I wouldn't want to add hop-ups to weapons since I think that would water down the effectiveness of the hop-ups. If I remember correctly, the Mozam can do 100 damage on flesh with Hammerpoint. That would be completely unbalanced if it were just a feature on the weapon. I'm sure they could change it to be more fair, but I doubt it would be as fun that way either. Taking things out of the loot pool is a slippery slope, but hop-ups have always been tedious to loot. Some hop-ups like Hammerpoint, and Turbocharger have the power to make weak or underwhelming guns competitivly viable, and so it isn't that great having them be so ilusive. I'd say put them all in replicators, and buff Loba's ultimate so that it players can collect the crafting materials in the area.
@SheepsKing I agree completely, that's what I meant by fine tuning. A 6 shot hammerpoint mozambique would instantly be CQC meta, wouldn't be a fun experience to play against.
I just personally feel that what they did with the precision chokes was a good step, the same could easily be done with the likes of tempo, selectfire and even shattercaps ( although I would attach them to the repeater solely, pointless on the bow).
I do think respawn are quite fond of the hop up concept though so it's not like this will ever come to pass I suppose.
