Hot drop garbage
Seriously is everyone that plays this game out of their mind?!? People drop so quick and die instantly. It's insane. People think they're good and then they get 2 kills and die to join again and do t...
@HappyHourSumwur It's been a pretty common mentality since s1 my dude. Skulltown was the original hot drop spot, and respawn proceeded to add an area to each map to cater to hot droppers.
Back to the topic though,
Does hot dropping need to be catered to? Probably not.
Is there anything that can be done to prevent it? Short of forcing people to play a certain way....which wouldn't be healthy for the game the answers no.
I dunno i play apex legends not looting legends. So I prefer action over looting for 5 minutes to die and lose it all anyhow. I drop hot every game I play as do my friends. We also win. =)
Early on in this game, when I first started playing, I had a random PUG for BR. The 2 men I was with dropped hot, I separated and went my own way as Crypto. This was King's Canyon and I went to the map room and pinged all the enemies to assist them. They got on their mics and insults started with how I didn't know how to play. They died and wanted me to run into that mess to grab their banners. I told them I was too distant, this made them drop the match. I didn't win but I came in second place for a little survival XP.
Most of the time, if I drop with a PUG, I inform them, I will do my best to assist them. But if they hot drop, there is nothing I can do, so I remain silent. I cannot imagine waiting 4 to 5 minutes in lobby for a match, just to die for no reason in seconds. I plan, set my goals, and execute them. If I complete short term goals, I am pleased. If I can do both long term and short term goals, I consider that my win.
