How common are DDOS attacks?

I find it a funny coincidence that I was in the top 5 just now, had a squad pinned down, and then just suddenly my server was lost. If that was the case, I completely stand by what I said earlier about how the game is out to get me. Also a big fat F U to hackers and cheaters, I hope you all get a paper cut on your tongues (if I was hacked that is)

  • @DaDeDimson When playing with console users quite often if they are in your lobby. Because no one at the company thought hmmm what bad can come of console users being in pc lobbies. Well console users was was well known for this happening for very cheap payment at that. So they bring it to pc lobbies or you are dealing with it in console lobbies because players are not good and need those easy kills and wins.
  • @DaDeDimson Not as common as you would think, but not rare enough that you've never experienced one. DDOS attacks require having access to a ton of compromised devices. It's not like downloading a aimbot that you can use. You have to be fairly tech savvy to set one up and execute one. Most people can't.

Sadly this is wrong and more common than you think. There are tools like low orbit ion cannon that make Ddossing really easy.
The issue is that you cannot protect servers from this. Due to this corona pandemic, some script kiddies grab to this kind of thing when they rage or want to exploit things.
But they don't understand that a denial of service attack can carry up to 10 years in prison.

It seems they are common enough lately to be experienced by many players even in PUBS.
I guess DDoS got some exposure lately, and a few people decided to test it out?
