How do you push through Diamond to get Master?

Hi Guys,

The last few Seasons i started playing ranked and got as far as Diamond.

Season 10 i am trying to push through Diamond to get to Master.

I can solo queue through Platinum without any problems, it starts to get interesting in the Diamond Lobbies.

I tried pushing through Diamond for over a week now, got as far as Diamond 3 and here i bump into 2 problems.

1 - When i solo Queue i almost always get teamed up with Diamond 4 players, that seem to get fresh out of Plat and have no clue what they are doing.

2 - When i do finally have a good run with 2 Randoms and we decide to team up, we always getting into Master/Pred Lobbies.

Both 1 and 2 are a big problem for me to push towards Master.

I am only 13 years of age, still got a lot to learn, and i really do want to learn. But it seems like i am more mature then most players i find in Diamond lobbies.

And its hard for me to find a few friends to play with, most people are not interested in playing with a 13 year old.

Whats your suggestion?

Play more pubs and get better and try again in a few seasons?

Or are there any clans / Clubs interested in a 13 year old , that is far from his prime and can learn lots more?

I dunno, kinda stuck in place atm , and i want to get better!

@Ruffneck_303_TTV you camp all game because the third party in this game is stupid and it rewards players more for placement than actual kills. Lower the gun sounds and the game would be more enjoyable

@NewWorld998 That's really not true at Plat and above. The flip side is more true...it's not worth levelling unless you can kill about 4+ people of your same skill level every game. Which means if you want to advance, you literally need to be an entire class above the people you are playing with or just play casual.
That's exactly what I do at Plat IV by the way. I'm not a diamond skill player, so all my advances are trashed in a few games. I mean, with a 60/40 win ratio, you would never ever advance through platinum.
I think the scoring system is super stupid, but Respawn loves the super stupid system they have and they won't change it.

Shoot how do you even push through Plat?? I’ve been stuck between 6800 RP and diamond for 7 days straight now

To start, i have solo'd to Masters Once (On Storm point). A rough idea of my skill is my KD is 2.0. Got about 13k kills total and my main is valk. Highest dmg id 3998 and 19 kills. My stats would lead you to believe im a slightly above average player. But its safe to say im more than well above.
Theres is a few key things to understand and ill be assuming your gunskill, awarness, and decision making are that are an average diamond player.
1. Landing spots, pick an area that you are good at, and that is what you call mid level loot. (Gardens on olympus for ex). There should usually be about 1-2 other teams landing there with you. Land together and try not to be the first to fight.
2.Rotations keep them in mind, sometimes sitting still is better
3. When ti be agrressive and chase knocks, when to know you have to push a building. Even with a team in it. And vice versa.
4. Avoid chip damage, one clipping might not be worth it every time.
5. Fights are team based. If your team loses two and no damage was done. Running is the option. A knock on the enemy doesnt mean a push, distance is important.
You will be soloing, so adhere to the vibes of your team and understajd that there will be bad times. You might not be the leader and thats ok, support the best way. Vocalize your concerns. And know when your teamates think theyre playing pubs

@Ruffneck_303_TTV I admire your drive, I really do. And I hope you get wherever it is that you want to go. But I want to say a couple of things about rank chasing just in case you might be one of the many people who would be a lot less frustrated with the game, and maybe with life in general, if you have a better understanding of exactly what it is you're trying to do.

The biggest misconception that players (in their legions) seem to have is that they can attain master/predator by just working harder, grinding harder, finding the right squadmates, etc. Life, after all, tries to teach us that we can accomplish anything if we put our back into it. But if you look at the statistical breakdown showing the percentage of players that can reach those ranks, then you realize that not just anyone can get there. In fact, very few people can get there. There are some goals that are unrealistic and some things that cannot be accomplished no matter the effort you expend. Some people will say that's a quitter's attitude, but we can't all be Tom Brady or President of the USA, or [insert some other statistically unreachable goal here].

More importantly, what you really need to ask yourself is whether or not your rank grind is making the game more fun or less fun. I'm not trying to imply anything - it's a question only you can answer. I'm just saying that if you wake up one morning and find that you don't even want to play the game because it feels like you're beating your head against a wall... that's when you've let your ego make you lose sight of the simple fact that the entertainment value of a game is not tied solely to how good you can be at it. Something to think about.

Oh, and just in case you didn't know, Diamond alone means that you're a better player than (roughly) 93% of the player base. So that's really nothing to be embarrassed about.
