Third partying is basically what happens in Battle Royals. What you want to do is fight the fights you can win, not be planting your face into the hotzone, or any zone, without being aware of what's around you.
Apex has a lot more strategy than most games, which is why you can win it, and have fun, without having to be constantly twitch shooting in a room full of people. You have to stick around in the game long enough to learn that, though. Crypto and Wattson aren't just low on the pick rate because they badly need buffs, but people constantly think the game is running straight into a fight without thinking, and somehow moving smartly or not running into a fight is 'boring' or 'camping' when that's the opposite of the case.
(moving without fighting every two seconds is often how you win, getting to the right place at the right time so you can have the fight come to you, and not the other way around. Hating on 'camping' is inexperience at both character pics and how to crack a defensive position....or being smart enough to avoid cracking it...and letting the ring do its work).
There's plenty of no third party games. Because those games have two teams. This one, and any Battle Royal, it's about winning, which means being part smart as well as killing people. Those two things are not opposites.
my method is a bit different.
fight team 1, kill really fast, reload and heal, kill team 2 which happily pokes in when were all healed and reloaded.
