I am in Diamond why am I matching with the top 500 players

I am in Diamond but every game I am matching up with the top 500 Apex predators they are two ranks above me they shouldn’t be matching with me

@Keatonb1228 Because the diamond/master/predator population is so small, they need all 3 to actually get a server up

Something is off, that was happening to me too, now I’m getting gold team mates in diamond

As others have said there's not enough people playing at higher ranks. The server disconnects, lag, and what ever else are putting a lot of people off playing ranked, this also includes streamers
on Twitch etc.
