I report every hot dropper

What does every hot dropper do after dropping Fragment, they quit. "Leaving Match Early"is a reportable offense, and that's exactly what I do. I don't think it does anything but hey whatevs.  It's basically griefing if you really look at it. Forcing the entire team into stupid situations then leaving. Remember Respawn has repeated multiple times "It's a Team Based Game"

but smart players get punished, while idiot hot droppers play 6 matches in 3 minutes and then yell at you for not landing next to 24 people with 3 weapons to split between them all.

  • Look, if you think EA getting swamped with millions of reports they have to  WAIT I AM ON TOTALLY ON BOARD WITH THIS, REPORTING PEOPLE *NOW*

Your title for the thread "I Report Every Hot Dropper"

I would be careful about this as abusing the reporting system/spam reporting is not in line with the ToS.

Reporting players for Hot Dropping is ridiculous IMHO, That would be like reporting players for camping or looting to much. Different play styles are and should be encouraged.

Reporting players for quitting early especially in Pubs is just to much work for such a minor thing IMHO.

I like to hot drop on occasion and would hate to be reported for making a high risk high reward play. I however will not leave the game early, only after my box timer has timed out, if there is the possibility of being respawned I will spectate and help my team via coms until I am respawned or the team is eliminated.

Happy Hunting in a few hours, S14 here we come.

There is no "abusing the reporting system/spam reporting", as he is not reporting for hot-drop, but for leaving early, cuz almost all hot-droppers leave early.

Players do it only because there is no punishment and devs close eyes on it because of streamers, who are leaving early all the time. Plus they are showing a lot of players that hot-dropping is fun. Yes, it's fun to watch how pro players hot-drop and kill everyone, but many of viewers start to think that this is how game must be played and it's problem.

@SlivPTS Correct, I only report them when they leave, which is 99.99% of the time. I am not abusing the system, simply following their rules.

You can never be sure if they left game on purpouse. You can think they did, it can look like they did, but you have nothing to proove it.

Thats how they look at leavers in other games like Overwatch. You can be suspended when you leave in Ranked match, but you cant be when you do that in pubs/quickplay. If you have connection or PC problems you should play just quick play. You can also notify them at the start of match that you will try to respawn them so they dont leave, but if you are just reporting them, I dont know seems a bit toxic to me in this case.

You cant really expect any result of your reports if youre reporting people for leavin game mode which has no leaver penalty in it and especially when they leave after they died in game.

I dont understand why youre not playing Ranked then... Its much more passive and noone hotdrops there, you will also be placed between players with similar skill.

I think it could be better gaming experience for you, trios is just casual which is a good thing, there is Ranked if you wanna be like serious about it which you are.

I also play Ranked, but I got into DIamond 4 and it became too hard for me.

Waiting for respawn in casual games really doesnt make any sense in 90% if cases to be honest. I can already tell from spectating my teammates most of the time.

I dont blame them or anything, theyre just new in game and I dont mind them being on my team. Everyone been new in the game at some point. New players coming to Apex is a good thing.

Hotdrop in TRIOS is the best way to proove your team. If they survive it will be great action packed match. If they dont, they would most likely die in first fight after 5 minutes of looting at the edge of map and you with them because it ends up to be 3v1 at the end. Hotdroppers just want action packed games and I respect it, they probably dont have 8+ hourse per day to play video games and even if they did, its their decision and you should respect it atleast when they are jumpmaster.

@Awhoo_Thunder If you have been playing long enough, this isn't very hard to notice, it's a typical pattern. Land construction, or streamer building, instantly get dropped and they leave before banner even expires.

And let me guess, when you see them hotdropping you always split from them and go somewhere else and then youre wondering why they left you before banner even expired right ? 🙂

I dont know what more to tell you guys than to just advice you to try playing RANKED. You would be really pleased by RANKED games if you wanna play more passive and tactical. Also there is not a single leaver in my RANKED matches.

@Awhoo_Thunder I mostly play rank for this exact reason, I don't play pubs very often, doesn't change the fact that pub hot droppers are usually selfish players, they want quick kills, and if it doesn't work out, they instantly leave. PS i don't break off in pubs, there's absolutely no reason to, I'm not that desperate for wins.
