@RustedYodaWhat dont you like? I've used his ultimate to help destroy teams. Yes you need to be in a good position but that goes for pretty much everyones ultimate. His crouch walking and being super quiet is quite good for sneaking up on people too.
He's garbage because he has a webbed limbs hitbox and they gave him low profile on top.
This is the exact same issue Pathfinder had when the game released. Shots that were clearly missing placed between his legs, and between his arms and upper body registered as hits anyway.
Revenant is what you play if you hate yourself and want to suffer. He's basically Caustic with extra damage taken. Absolute trash.
- hayhor5 years agoHero@Wingmannedbro That is your take. He isnt the type for running straight into battle every time but I've won a lot of matches with him so I do not believe he is as bad as you say.
- 5 years ago@hayhor It's not a take or opinion but a fact.
His hitbox and even the way he walks is just like Caustic but with extra damage. Everyone is silent when crouched you just get a slight speed buff but compare that to sliding it's not really that useful except in rare circumstances and his ultimate having to heal health and not shields after a push puts him at a disadvantage. He has uses which will work when you pull it off but on the grand scheme of things he's pretty useless.
Love the quips though.- hayhor5 years agoHero
His quips are pure evil but so funny.
Slight speed boost? He walks as fast as other legends walk upright. This is important in two aspects- Means you can basically crouch walk very quickly to or from a fight without anyone knowing and when in a gun fight you can crouch and shoot, moving side to side extremely fast crouched with a smaller target.
As for the need to heal after a push. That is up to whoever is rev putting it in a spot where you wont get instantly shot.
Regarding the hit box, it is what it is.
This is what I know for me- He is now my 2nd choice to path and I already have over 20 wins with him. Not sure what the percentage is but overall I'm 10% or more this season and seem to win more with him. Maybe it is just luck?

Yeah he crouches as fast as others walk...but i mean how often do you walk around in apex?
Seeing as he's like 9ft tall you basically have to crouch to have a reasonably sized hitbox...which puts you at a mobility disadvantage, speed buff or not.
To me his climbing ability is his only real strength, and even that's marred by the fact that it sounds like somebody has kicked a barrel of nails down a flight of stairs...so you ain't getting the jump on anybody wearing a headset.
I like the concept of revenant but the reality is pretty underwhelming.
- 5 years ago@Wingmannedbro well who the * is gonna shoot him in the legs my homie- kinda ironic if you put it into retrospect that EVERYONE SHOOTS HEAD LEVE 🙂

You get lasered with ease since your hitbox is is webbed. Many shots that should miss will hit anyway.
Ill go see if I can still find the video from way back when Pathfinder had the same problem.
It's hard to imagine now but Pathfinder was actually a very unpopular pick pre season 1 because of that. Virtually nobody picked Path.
When they fixed the hitbox, he almost overnight became the meta pick.
[Edit]
As you can see in the video, the difference is dramatic.

Lots of misinformation going around in this thread.
First off: Revenant needs a buff. That much is clear. But his weakest area is not his passive; in fact, his passives are his biggest advantage.
Where Rev needs a buff is his tactical (Q).
1) is a skillshot
2) deals minimal damage
3) disabling actives hurts some heroes way less than others
4) disabling actives that are already on cooldown is a waste and leaves him entirely open to their abilities later on
Q needs a complete rework
OR
A dramatically reduced cooldown/increased AoE. Its an interesting tactical, marred by execution and circumstance (compare silencing Wraith or Pathfinder to silencing Wattson or Caustic).
Revenant being able to crouch-walk at normal walking speed is huge in combat. It not only makes his hit-box small, but also sharply raises hipfire accuracy and locks it in place while strafing (unlike standing to strafe).
Death Totem is mostly good for safely 3rd partying. I honestly think it should have additional effects - such as granting increased healing speed while it lasts but isn't active on you (think Gabby's dome or Lifelines passive) or maybe just return you with full health & shields.
