What aren't you understanding...? Just because you run off and get killed doesn't mean you keep your stats. This post was to suggest if you leave at any point before all your teammates have been killed, you will not get stats. You can run away and become a crate, but if we don't come get your banner quick enough and you leave before we're dead, you don't get stats. Going off on your own only results in two things - 1. You sit there and watch your teammates, or 2. You leave and get penalized. No game stats. Nobody's forcing you to quit. 🙂

You still can not force people to play with you.

@unogobangbang2 Well I guess you're on the wrong thread because that's not the suggestion here. 🙂

You are correct.
But why would you play a team based game, to run off on your own, die, quit and start another game if you were not to accumulate stats? Most hot droppers do the die, quit rinse repeat to pad their kill stats. The solution in the OP would HELP reduce this behaviour imo. If you still decide to play that way fine, but why you would is a complete mystery.
Judging by your responses you don't have a proper answer. What you are saying is pretty much "I know you are, I said you are but what am I" playground mentality of a 4 year old.
Nobody can be forced. That is plain obvious. But people can be encouraged to play properly. If you decided to be to stubborn fine, but for every 1 of you, 10 may start to play properly. That's a win in my book.

IMO it will reduce nothing. You just have to be the type of player that others want to play with. Develop your people skills and they will stick around.

@unogobangbang2 "IMO it will reduce nothing. You just have to be the type of player that others want to play with. Develop your people skills and they will stick around."
First of all, thank you for using "IMO." It means you're not trying to bark random garbage as truth.
Second - "Develop your people skills?" This isn't a job, first of all. And also, not everyone has a mic. Ultimately, it comes down to team etiquette. Nothing more, nothing less.
