Yeah there sadly isn't something that really can be done, it's pretty much luck based.

The only way to really speed up the process is to buy more packs, though I personally wouldn't recommend it as you'd pretty much be gambling your money away.

Heirlooms and Mythics aren't that special IMO, though eventually you'll get one, some players are super lucky, some aren't so lucky.

One thing you might try, collect the packs and open them in chunks of maybe 10+ 
might give you better results from what i've heard and experienced.

Heirlooms are a scam. You have next to no chance on a tick in getting points.

Buy a lottery ticket with the money you are better off

I posted the other day almost exact scenario. My account was over level 600 and is now at 227 as my account had been reset to ZERO and all my skins were gone.

The very next day after posting about it , after my second game, I got mythic shards. Go figure.

First time ever since start of Apex.

Were you playing on a platform account (e.g. Steam, Xbox or PSN) and did you unlink that account from it's original EA account to another one?

If so, that would explain why you lost your data, account data is stored on the EA account.

Your old data could return if you were to relink the platform account to the EA account it was originally linked to.

@XHelperZ  No, Not at the time. I have SS of my account levels during Season 7 and 8 @ lvl 361, but I know they were well over 600 when they were reset.

A buddy told me they were all reset. I never heard about it personally. 

When I talked to an EA rep, they never even mentioned it and were of no help .
