Note that is more expensive than just buying the Pulse 3D set.

Just an update story.
I was playing arenas with yt yesterday.
In one round of a game, he was dead.
He was killed by an enemy path, who was nearby,
but I could not hear the path at all.
The path silently rounded on me and quickly despatched me.
That is another story according to yt.
Yt came to talk after the match and said that
even while dead, he could hear where the path was very clearly and was shouting at his screen when I was looking the wrong way.
Qed on the SSS.

On PC you can try using APO Equalizer but I think nothing will help... It's just how this game was designed. You can see artillery strike blowing up in front of you with no obstacles nearby 200 meters away but you will not hear anything. You take one step forward, 199 meters, and you hear everything. Again step back and silence... Game simply cuts audio on some set distance. And balancing audio in fight (to discern footsteps) would require probably doing some complicated audio convolution, recording footsteps, guns, ults, for Pathfinder and other legends, etc...
All you can do is use your eyes, 360 all the time. :D
