It's not really a huge task to dl sonar and to try the Apex preset. Would you be willing to try it and give your opinion?
Maby you could try it with your current headphones and perhaps with others you may have.
As I've previously mentioned, YoungTree noticed a profound difference using his heaphones with sonar.
I would really apreciate your opinion and any advice you may have for the community, on how to improve this audio workaround we are stuck with.
I'm stuck on console with a Soundbar, hearing issues like tinnitus, so nothing much I can do to hear Gibby tipp toeing up behind me. 🥳

I think the key is really toying with audio to be tailored better for apex. (While we should not have to do this its the only way I found to combat it for a better experience.
Currently I use Hyper X Cloud headphones (Best I have ever owned quality wise with audio and very affordable).
My realtek hd audio manager is set as followed.
Speaker Config = Stero
Amplify Level = Performance
Sound effects = None
Default Format = 24 bits, 48000 hz (studio quality)
Volume in here is set to max.
Sonic Studio Settings Basic Mode.
Speaker Realtek High Definition Audio = Max Level
Equalizer = None
Sonic Studio Effects = On set to Gaming
Smart Volume = On and set to balanced. 50% level
Voice Clarity = On 50% level
Bass Boost = On 50% level
Treble Boost = On 50% level
Reverb = Set to Studio 50% level
Upmix/Surround = On
Advanced Mode Settings.
Device Manager all set to 100%
Application Manager = Off
Sonic Studio Effects = On all set to music modeIn game volumes set to 100
