Inventory "I Have [item]" Comms

Blank spots in inventory can be called out with "I need [item]"

What about a ping that tells your squad what you DO have?

"I have a/an [ITEM] [LEVEL #]"

I think this would help the nonverbal comms between random squadmates. Especially for those support types who carry extra gear 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • @xiXBlackHaloXix Would also be cool if you could callout what sort of heals you have. I.e. you ping a shield battery in your inventory, your character says "I've got a/several batteries if you need one" and the feed comes up with "[player] has [x] shield batteries." Would help if you've got plenty of heals and want to share the love.

@BaldWraithSimp Ofcourse you do it in cover. Even in a battle. Also the ones that need it can also ping it to their squad. Only when your out ofcourse. The option is already abailable when you are in need of a gun, backpack, schield etc.
  • I agree with @JeffJam13 . I don't see this as something really necessary as you can drop items on the floor (when there isn't any enemy around). But one thing i would add though is the voice line for batteries. As it is now your character says "i need shields", but it would be nice to be able to say "i need a battery" so your teammates know exactly what you need.

  • To those of you who say it's already there with dropping and pinging are probably a lot better at the game and can do that relatively effectively.

When in the heat of a gunfight or retreating, calling out that you have a particular item or stacks of an item can help.

Maybe the call and response system would be better? A player in need pings what they need and a down arrow prompt can give the option to acknowledge that you have the item they need without having to access your inventory and take your eyes away from the threat.

There are a lot of uses for "I have," in communications.

I was also thinking they could add lines like "Running low on [type] ammo" or the shields that get swapped they can say "Empty/Fresh/Used Body Shield here, Level 3."

Minor lines can add a big difference to communicating. Think of the things you say when playing with a friend who's also on voice comms. You say, "I have 170 light ammo," so maybe the in-game pinging system can, too.

Lastly, don't be a * just because you're proficient at the game. If you're not into an idea, move along or try to be constructive when possible.

  • @JeffJam13 Do you even get the point? Pinging stuff directly from backpack would be more easier than dropping and pinging it smh.
