@Scarrletsix I would not use it in the firing range until we can a verified answer one way or the other.
I was simply saying you should wait until we get an answer before you use it.

@DarthValtrex Hi Darth, I was scrolling through the responses and wasn't sure if a resolution for the above was given. Was the CM able to confirm if it was okay?
- DarthValtrex4 years agoHero (Retired)@WAH_WAA_WEE_WAA It's been a while. This is just my understanding, but any third party software can potentially lead to bans.
- 4 years ago@DarthValtrex Thank you for the quick reply! The only reason I ask is for tap strafe purposes only. Currently, you can map scroll wheel on mouse to do it, on steam ( which is a third party app) you can create a command that allows you to tap strafe. The only way you can do so on origin is using anti micro. So, why aren’t people getting banned on steam then? Thanks for any further insight you can provide.
- 4 years ago@WAH_WAA_WEE_WAA Steamconfig is not a thirdparty software and its available for everyone on pc with a controller. Antimicro contains stuff like recoil controll if i remember right wich is literally cheating and its also a thirdparty software.
- 4 years ago@WAH_WAA_WEE_WAA 3rd Party software can be defined by any degree, it is up to the company. For example; you buy a new USB keyboard and Windows installs the common keyboard drivers. There is no 3rd party software. However your new keyboard has programmable keys (macro keys) and you install the keyboard driver. Now you have 3rd party software driver with or without the intent to cheat. If the company has the driver on their blacklist, then you can get banned.
I run Steam and I really don't care for extra software slowing the game down, but it is the only way it will function on my system. Steam software launcher is also 3rd party software, apparently on their whitelist, but anyone could still get banned, from any game, for any reason. Remember this; first party is the game software, second party is strictly the OS, and third party is literally everything else you installed. While it is highly unlikely you would get a ban for installing a spreadsheet program, any company with the 3rd party policy could use it as a very pathetic excuse.
