First thing I would do if this was my game is get rid of these losers who keep defending a game that needs criticism for improvement.
2nd, I would remove evo shields, highest armor would be blue and nothing more for anyone, ever.
3rd, I'd lower recoil on weapons, or make it random. No reason to fight the stupid thing.
4th, I'd remove bullet drop.
5th, I'd remove slow down effect from being shot.
6th, I'd ban 3rd party hardware, and your ip would be banned permanently. If I had the power I would brick your console entirely.
7th, I'd split console and pc lobbies. Competitions can do whatever they see fit, don't care.
8th, I would create a team specializing in anti cheat big enough to actually deal with the volume. And when you are banned it's permanent via hardware. Also option for matches to be recorded from all perspectives, like Fortnite has.
9th, No smurf accounts AKA 1 account per ip.
10th, I would enhance colors and features of character models so they actually stand out more on all backgrounds.
11th, I would get rid of audio issues, even if it means firing the whole current team, after 4 years this current state isn't acceptable. You should hear footsteps and where they're coming from.
12th, Better / more servers in places that have none.
13th, Remove sbmm from pubs to make the casual mode truly casual and fair. Challenges are random and so are matches. This is not a competition, you are choosing to play random people in PUBS which basically makes it a FFA mode, so accept random outcomes vs skill.
One can dream, right? 🙂
I know this is all "pie in the sky" stuff, but this would be my solution to "save" Apex. But I don't think it's in trouble. There's simply no shortage of new players joining only to be disappointed later, like yourself 🙂
Respawn worked at increasing the TTK overall in this game the last bunch of seasons. However while playing the game, it feels anything like a high TTK. If anything IMO, it needs more TTK. Last couple of seasons most are being one clipped constantly from distance with subs.
The game will never be what it was. I feel bad for the Devs that created the game. I feel what the new Devs have done was not only a slap in the face to the originals but embarrassing as well.

66 million players - yes I'll go out on a ledge and say 20 million of that at least are multiple accounts, alt or smurf accounts. Either way, large player base. Anywhere from 300,000 - 500,000 players at any given time.... and how many marcos sold again - anyone.
2.5 MILLION sold just through Covid alone. The companies selling these have been sold out for over a year and on back order. Again 2.5 million sold. You can take to the bank well over half the player base at any given time based on those numbers alone are using these to compete. Apex Legends in a nut shell. We all know that nobody plays just one game. Everyone I know and those 66 million players don't just play APex. They play Fortnite, COD, Valorant, Over watch. so yes, all multi-player games that are competitive are riddled with the same.
The difference is some other game companies are willing to try and combat the 2.5 million players using macros (much higher I'm sure now) as that number was almost 2 years ago.
However we can see factual information that EA does not.
Apex legends in a nut shell - EA doesn't want to spend money on better servers / EA doesn't want to spend money on better Anti-cheat like there competitors / EA doesn't care about your gaming experience / EA cares about money and profit.
So for all the ppl that * and complain about Apex and the cheaters and the servers and the reveal meta out of control et cetera - just keep spending money and buying their crap. Continue to contribute to the problem. The only real problem is ppl give them their money. Stop and either one of two things will happen - 1 Apex will die (might be the best thing) / 2 EA will finally dip into their Billions and resolve long standing issues.

Just my guess here Recon - I'll go with - what they most likelly meant is, they will invest more on the production of skins, bundles, events etc...

Do not be afraid, you would still do well I think, that's all that matters to anyone, so you would have nothing to worry about : ) Trust guys, we don't need people telling us who to play, we just play and let things happen.
