Honest question. I am okay if this is "all random" and accept it as an answer. From the last 15 matches, just looking at the champions it was almost always a 3-stack of masters/predators. I am playing soloq, no prearranged team whatsoever. I am an okay player but never made it out of Platinum and I really do not like to be thrown to 3stack preds as snack, thank you very much!
It will always be food for preds and masters.
When I see Faide enter the same lobby as people who sometimes don't know what's going on, it means that MM still doesn't exist. This graph is just a joke. They need to change the MM rules... It can't be like this, that a person with KD 4.0 or 5.0 ends up in the same lobby as someone who has KD 0.2 or 0.3. This is just ridiculous. MM still doesn't exist in this game, and this graphic only confirms it.
Matchmaking in this game has always struggled. A few days ago, when this was a takeover and had the entire pubs population to work with, the matchmaking was typically bad. Now that they've made it an optional LTM the population will necessarily be lower and the matchmaking will get even worse. Which also applies to pubs. That's just the way it works when you divide a fixed population over a higher number of playlists. This is why I always wish for LTMs to end, even if I actually like the mode. Which is almost never. And definitely not in this case. I'm genuinely grateful they shunted it out of the way of normal trios.
I sometimes think that known streamers have a "boost" applied in their matchmaking. I mean, I know the BS about fairness and even playfield for all but name me one large business which does not give special treatment to VIPs... :D
