Is there crossplay?

Yes there are at least two instances of this:

-Bloodhound is often assumed to be a male at a glance but strictly speaking the gender of this character is never referenced and the voice over is done by a female. A mystery like the Pyro from Team Fortress 2 or Birdo from Mario.

-I also got one of Wraiths legendary skins which made her look like a boy who has been sectioned while getting hit hard by withdrawal.

They tried too hard to push Bangalore as a tomboy to the point that it dominates her identity but I wouldn't really say that counts.

Oh wait you mean can we play together regardless of platform? No. At least not right now.

Why EA and Respawn have released no updates on C&P is ominous, I don’t think EA have an appetite for it even if maybe Respawn do.

There are numerous articles that show that it is. https://www.gamesradar.com/how-to-enable-cross-platform-apex-legends-matches/  There will be cross play, but most likely won't have cross progression.

"In addition, Respawn's Lead Producer Drew McCoy confirmed in an interview with Eurogamer that Apex Legends cross-play for Apex Legends is in the works, saying that the developer "plans to allow players to play with their friends on other platforms" at some point in the future. "

They just knew they wouldn't have it in the launch window and would come some time after. What they consider the launch window and sometime after is still to be determined. They may still look at season 1 as the launch window.

@DarkWingPenguin2 Well why would an EA rep come on here and say there are no current plans? My suspicions confirmed LOL. No C&P for Apex is a big fail, even Paladins has it now and that game hasn’t had the same exposure as Fortnite and Apex.

I don’t think they will even consider it. With the PC players so outraged over all the hackers and cheaters in their games. The last thing they want to do is anger the console players also because of it. Maybe once they get control of the hacks and cheats. Then maybe. 

Crossplay should have been at the top f their agenda, sadly I don’t think we will see it as EA don’t seem to have any appetite for it even if Respawn may?

FYI cross play has nothing to do with PC hackers, understand the mechanics of it before making ill considered assumptions. How Epic runs it in Fortnite works fine I.e you don’t get put in a PC pool unless your in a mixed party with someone on PC. 

Why people would say “hopefully never “ are really just ignorant to the amount of benefits crossplay brings especially if coupled with cross platform progression.
