I Play on pc too, have 1200+ kills now and I thought, hey lets try this game on my PS4, downloaded it, jump into the first game with a level 1, no kills and both my team members logged out after wishing me good luck, ill need it mid drop, I am like ooh they started at lvl 65 with 200 kills...great...how does that work...
Personally I don't mind people with low kills, when they work in the team, stick to the team and like not run off and get themselves killed 500m away and insta disconnect or demand you come get them.
But yeah, don't let it discourage you OP, if you are serious about getting better, check out Aim Labs on steam they have a setting for Apex and you can find me on their official discord aswell.
Anyways, I hope your experiences get better.
