[LEAKS] Here’s to Apex’s 2023

Spoiler warning!

Let me know what you think for each number. And are you excited with these? Is there a light at the end of the tunnel? Lol.

A small tip first before the actual leaks.

- These are insider leaks confirmed through multiple sources.
- Leaks doesn’t mean that it will come in the game.
- These are what are being currently worked on. So no dates on most of these leaks or they might be stuck in development hell and never release.

- To see is to believe. Only get hyped if they’re officially announced or more leaks pointing that it’s coming very soon.

- To be honest, with this big leak (unlike that February hacked leaks), this might be released by Respawn themselves because they know that the game is stale and numbers are down. Even the gaming merchant is now playing CoD and Mokey doing fortnite stuff.

Insider leaks then confirmed by Thordan’s insider leakers as well. Italicized text is what I think of it.

1. World’s Edge changes. Fragment will be changed and streamer building will be removed.

- This might be for season 16? I doubt that this will really change how people play in WE. Will only prove that people will still hotdrop and will only migrate to a new POI or worse still drop in Frag.

2. New legend, new legend nerfs and buffs being the biggest is Lifeline’s ult being faster to drop.

- As expected. Also in the stream last month from Respawn, we saw a Parhfinder ult UI updated.

3. Stormpoint update (I don’t know what season) with Wattson town takeover

- According to Thordan’s past leaks this will be in lightning rod on the north side of the map. I’ll probably still hate the map. We need a big makeover of this map.

4. Hardcore Battle Royale releasing at some point with no HUD.

- I believe I already posted this. Conflicting leaks on when this will release. Some said later this season but this leak didn’t add a date.

5. Titanfall map with wall running and dual wielding pistols.

- As I’ve said in another thread. I don’t need TF movement just more maps and modes but since this is content, I’ll take it. The names of the titanfall maps have been added to the files already (made a thread about it) and we’ve seen them test akimbo style pistols in the leaks.

6. Arenas getting removed from the game.

- No date for this one but I initially thought this will come in season 16.

7. Team Deathmatch will be coming

- We’ve seen this already in the February leaks.

8. Season 23 new map, DISTRICT, is what it’s called right now. It’s a titanfall map I believe idk tbh never played tf well it has wall running and after it drops all maps could get wall running updates.

- Not sure why season 23. Isn’t the next BR map scheduled for season 19? Same sentiments about wall running.

9. Ballistic season 17

- He kinda looks like Walter White with the glasses and beard. Can spawn a turret.

10. New loot boxes for assault class too. Red ones that have more weapon attachments and ammo.
- We’ve seen this officially from Respawn in the season 15 stream that Respawn did a month ago.

11. Support all get bonus items in blue boxes like Lifeline.

12. So like skirmisher can see what’s in the care package.

- I don’t know what this is. LOL.

13. Control replacing Arenas

- Good but don’t remove arenas forever and I guess they might reuse those maps for the 6v6 TDM mode.

14. Duo mode competing for cutest couple valentines.

- In the files, there are already Valentines day skins which are old recolors but in pink. Meh not excited.

15. Heatwave: game mode where every so often a wave of ring heat hovers over the entire map and if you are outdoors, you take damage. Care packages drop a unique item called SUNGLASSES.

- Sounds fun. I guess the sunglasses will be like the gas mask from warzone. You can move through the ring unlike heat shields where you can only place it at one spot.

I apologize if I’ve been “negative” about the game recently. I just want Respawn to improve because we’ve seen them do better in the past. I want this game to be good but of course this doesn’t mean that we should excuse they’re shortcomings. Hope everyone is having a chill time this Holidays. Here’s to hoping for a good 2023 for Apex. 🥂 🍻

@Cro_Pittt No, which is why I wonder where @hayhor get's the idea I can't stop. I rediscovered the fact that games with single player content better respect my time.

I'm here for what little Titanfall lore drops we get now.

The first episodes of this season didn't start for what, 70 freaking days from the season start? I had enough tokens for the new character, hated the playstyle, and basically quit. New map is horrible. It's just FASTER 3rd party central.

The game's matchmaking has very clearly told me _EA doesn't want us filthy casuals playing except as food for their precious streamers_ so I took what they said to heart and quit.

@Ev3rM0r3 That's an opinion that you're welcome to have, but unfortunately you're in the minority. Arenas is not doing well as a mode & instead of trying to fix what's wrong with it, they are doing away with it as a permanent mode. There are more exciting/engaging modes like Control & Gun Run. Have you tried either of those?

I agree with Kyldenar whole heartedly.
My take from all this is, its great that Respawn is trying to make changes to Apex NOW, due to the player drop. However, I personally feel there are other things more important for the health of the game at this point over say, wall running, a new Legend and more recolored skins.
All that is fine and dandy, but doesn't change much if the MM is not addressed, the hacking and smurfing isn't addressed. I am happy and surprised about legend balancing - (bout time)
Although my faith in Respawn to do that right remains gutter style low.
I sure hope Bowel Map and Sh*t point are not both in rotation at the same time. That alone might make me uninstall this ever declining sh*t show of what was once the game on top of the food chain.

@Kyldenar Fair enough i guess, although i'd not comment as much as you on this if i did not play the game lol.
@NickBeam27 This game needed other changes ever since Season 2, but we are still waiting for them. Now it may be too late to recover the playerbase lost.

@Ev3rM0r3 If they left one arenas mode, which would you want? Pubs or ranked?

I never ever play arenas but I'd rather they not fully remove it for the reasons you mention. Some people only play it.

@hayhor see I quit Battle Royale because I was sick at the 30 minute time sinks only to get one kill or a few damage and a few points because I ran away from the bubble the whole match In arena's getting stuff done and getting kills meant something because you only had a limited time and a limited range of bubble to do it in if they take that away from me I'm probably just going to go back to PUBG or maybe this will be my breaking points and I'll just quit first person should result together. I play Star citizen secondary and maybe I'll just commit to that full-time now I just can't keep committing time to something and honestly I bet I committed 60 plus hours a week to Apex that's now going to be gone because if they remove arenas I am dead serious I will no longer play their game and I will no longer buy skins and I will no longer promote their game to anyone else.

@Ev3rM0r3 Yes I get it but what mode do you prefer in arenas ranked or pubs? If you can only have one.

A foreshadowing. Watch them say during the reveal that “We teased the wall running few months ago.” type of stuff.
