Low profile nerf is too much
Low profile legends now take way too much damage making them frustrating to play, I don't even know how to respond to this RIDONKULUS change. Buff weak legends (octane, mirage, crypto) instead of ba...
Didn't read the entire thread, sorry if this was mentioned, but isn't this nerf an indirect buff to Octane...Mirage....
Finally, a meaningful change to combat the overwhelming usage of Wraith and Pathfinder.
My concern isn't that the nerf is "too much" but rather not enough. Good players tend to shoot at the center/neck/chest area, so indirectly increasing damage to limbs isn't exactly major.
However, any change to rid this community of the scourge of Wraith and Pathfinder dominance is welcome.
It doesn't surprise me that people are sounding off about a nerf directed at low profile: the amount of Wraith, Pathfinder, and Wattson mains (combined) totally dwarfs the other characters.
You may not "like" the change, but anyone who put the health and balance of the game before personal preference will realize that nerfing Wraith and Pathfinder is absolutely essential. And what better way to do so than to hit a trait they both share - equally.
As for Lifeline, she got a significant buff to offset the nerf (which was totally justified on her too: she's too hard to connect with).
And Wattson? Don't get me started about her hitbox. This change was a step in the right direction for her.
@JinnobiAny sane person knows that making low profile legends die quicker is not a step in the right direction, it is quite the opposite. And as i said before, giving weak legends a buff would improve game balance and maybe, just maybe make people who just got outplayed by a lifeline think twice before posting whiny comments.
I think that the increased damage to arms and legs on low profile characters is a step in the right direction. They're already the hardest characters to hit; but doing full, normal damage to them required a degree of accuracy that simply wasn't in balance when non-low profile characters were being compared.
Now, landing a shot on low profile character will not be randomly penalized because your accuracy wasn't aimbot-level. Hitting a low profile character in general was an increased challenge - thus the existence of low profile. But landing a hit on a moving LP character would often result in reduced (not increased) damage due to arm/legs taking up a greater-than-average percentage the hitbox. This is above and beyond the reduced hitbox size.
Just compare the AoE of Gibby/Caustics chest compared to the size of Wraith or Lifeline. Their core is bigger proportionally.
@Jinnobi Not enough? So what do you suggest for the next nerf then? You're basically telling that you want them to be nerfed to the point that people will not use them anymore. But if it happens then the other legends will be too strong compared to them. I really don't see the point of any other nerf, the Wraith-Path-Wattson was the most picked combo because their abilites were the most useful ones for the team, not because they were op( maybe in the first months but after some updates they were fine). Now Gibby has stepped in also. Don't blame the legends, blame the devs for creating some legends with useful team abilites and other ones(coughMiragecough) that simply can't compete because theirs do not create any advantage for the team. Devs need to redefine some legends so every one has something that actually helps the squad. Nerfing every patch the same ones will just make the game more solo oriented.
