Making console players and PC players cross-play by default would be foolish

@hayhor I'm on PC, and I agree with you. I have been put in console lobbies (I'm a KB/M players 100%) every day at least 50% of the time, often the only PC player there. It's terrible for everyone involved. I hate it because the console players one-clip me left and right, and my teammates hate it because I can't, lol. They AFK almost as soon as they see I'm on PC.
It's hard enough playing on PC against people using cheats, anti-recoil and neo-strafing steam configs without having to worry about legitimate console players who are just using what they game gives them.
I had a sinking feeling that maybe this lobby thing wasn't a bug. Maybe Respawn was testing it out (I'm in SA region but connected to Virginia) to see how the matches turned out.

I saw on Twitter, @iAm_NeOnBeas mentioned something about a plan for an engine upgrade by the end of the year - which is a good thing. However, he also mentioned that the engine upgrade will limit old-generation consoles to playing Apex at only 30fps. As a result, Respawn plans to default cross-play between next-gen consoles and PC. Dude, I completely agree with you. I hope they don't go ahead with such a foolish move. It will undoubtedly stir up controversy within the console gaming community. In my opinion, any planner suggesting such a change is completely unfit for their job because they clearly don't understand what the community, especially the console players, truly need. We don't need a downgrade like this. Let's hope this remains just a "rumor".
