Mirage Event Discussion Thread

I like the LTM , its fun, close combat, lot of action.

But i dont like the new town takeover... Ye its new, so many squads falling there, its chaos, but i expected that. Its same like it was on octane takeover...its fine to have something new on map. But is that LOUD  music and fireworks really necessary? ... u can hear it on thermal station and u cant even hear the noise of shots and steps around you, just because of that loud scene from mirage voyage. Im goin to get all the winter quest complete and then I will probably take a pause from the game till the mirage voyage hot zone dropping will disappear...

Fantastic event and love clutching it out on the winter express. Probably wont play it enough to get the 75 captures, but will enjoy it while the novelty lasts.

@ExtremejinksI think I'll play it till it is removed but i would really like to grind out those stats. I just bought the reindeer octane skin and I only have 200 kills with him and would like to grind out his stats a little. I never played with him because I didnt have any good skins for him.

Guaranteed crying every time something new drops in this game. The LTM is fun close quarters combat with an objective. Following your preferred load out will lead you to try different legends, and really, if your paying attention to what the next stop is you will pick a legend/load out to fit that location. Not all of them are the same... It took me a while to get comfortable with the game play of the capture the train, but once I did I was winning more than losing and I have a .8 KDR. It would be nice if the kills counted toward your stats, but they are probably concerned with all the deaths counting towards your stats too. It is fast paced and you are going to die. I only dropped the new Mirage Voyage once last night because I was only with randoms and everyone was scared of it. It was funny and chaotic and I am looking forward to more of that. I didn't understand how to start the party, but I looked it up at work today and its just pressing a button on the dash of the boat on the top. I will get that done this weekend. I am liking all the videos of everyone just hanging out in the hot tub while everyone fights around them. This is a fun event with some great skins. I think I will buy the Octane Skin. I got the Caustic skin in one of the packs I used my saved up coins on. 

meh event, trash rewards.

• - No free event pack, not even 1, it's holiday season and still being very stingy eh?
• - Lstar Legendary skin lol please stop trolling with these trash rewards. I rather have a chance with the event pack than this..
• - G7 legendary skin, it's ok but I don't need another G7 skin, we already got 2 G7 epic skins from wraith event..

Stats doesn't count, it's lame but it's ok, so it won't mess up the SBMM? But at least let the win from event counts to my main stats...

Event mechanic is similar to one of Splatoon's ranked mode, which is called tower control. I like that game mode, but this catch the train mode feels kind of lackluster, maybe because you limit the squads to only 3? Should be more fun if you increase the number of squads, and reduce the ultimate CD.

• I can't stand the music theme.
• The event exp is huge, good (not sure if bug or intended).
• No sale or holiday discount or whatever for the event skin, bad.
• Event duration is too long, I rather have a short duration event (good or bad event) rather than stuck with bad event for 1 month.

Pre load outs are displeasing to say the least. Playing as Wattson my two weapons are prowler(non full auto) and wingman. Really!?  Just insulting.

Could have been a decent LTM but pre load outs limit some legends while excelling others. Bad decision.
