It takes 50-60 games! Wow EA must really hate the players.
The whole MM is stupid. It encourages you to play stupid.
I think EA/Respawn dont understand that 99% of the player base does not get what the BR means.
And they should treat it at such by KDR & average dmg being the only evaluative tool for MM in pubs.
Its not the ALGS or ranked you know where you get some reward for positioning and you know playing battle royale.
Lets say you accidentally drop somewhere quiet and the whole lobby does the typical with 5 teams left after first ring you are once again on the losing end with the matchmaking evaluating you wrong even if you get 0 dmg done for the whole of the match.
Officially done for this season. Played a bunch of matches today without getting a single kill.
Then got two accidental kills (Caustic gas canister was probably closest thing to the players when they were caught by the ring) and the way I see it that the MM sees it as the highpoint of my day and nothing good coming at me in the next matches.
The other accounts (specifically used for MM testing) take between 5-9 poor matches to be dropped into easier lobbies.

@Axs5626Sxa5001Noted. But having 5-9 matches of total destruction might already be enough for a player to stop playing when the player is put on the wrong lobby to begin with. Its a good thing to know about the shared MM. I used to play some Arenas as a method of warmup before jumping in to BR. Did the same with Mixtape, which apparently was the mistake. Also Mixtape was somewhat method of getting some self confidence in between of getting destroyed in the BR but as you wrote if you plan on enjoying BR you should just keep dying on it and not even touch the mixtape because the MM will throw you a ridicolous match up where you will win even if you AFK through it.
After few days off I have to say I miss Apex but not that much. Grinding Fishing Planet and occasional Quake Champions against bots has been good for mental health 😃- hayhor3 years agoHero@Airish85 There's a difference between being in lesser lobbies and the 'right' lobbies. Too many people think the 'right' lobbies mean they are guaranteed to get some kills and/or win a game. In 5 to 10 games it is really easy to have a few unlucky, a few where the person made poor plays and a few where they just got outplayed by similarly skilled opponents. Sometimes people need to really look at what happened. It's the only way to improve.

Problem comes in two directions:
1) Matching isn't granular - by design it's destroy or be destroyed. They intentionally match crap players with good ones so they get a sense of 'achievement and progression'
2) Way too easy to pingpong between those extremes
Real fkin simple
