My pc shuts down when I run Apex Legends.

What other games do you play?
If problem is with your system, then system will shut down in most games.

Download HW Monitor and check temperatures when you launch the game.

I highly doubt that problem is in Apex Legends game.

Just search in google "pc shuts down when launching games" and i am sure you will find answer.

@Buyable8 how full is your hard drive?

Do you have your os on a seperate drive to other programs, games and data?

Have you cleaned up your hard drive and defragmented it?

Do not defragment a ssd.

Ccleaner is free and is good for cleaning up.

It's counterpart defraggler is a very good defragmenter. 

Do not defragment more than once a month.

Do file defragment one month or every big game update and full defrag other month.

Use Windows cleaner to remove old copies of Windows and old restore points. 

Go into windows settings/storage and get rid of other restore copies, can easily be up to 40 gig. 

If you only have 1 drive consider partitioning it and put os on one partition and games etc on the other. 

Only defrag after cleanup.

It is possible that your drive is failing, make sure to back up important data ASAP. Jic.

@OldTreeCreeper I have 1.8 TB of storage open on my hard drive (2TB drive)

i have my steam and steam library on my hard drive, my os is on  ssd which is a samgsung 970 evo 500gb 

i have never cleaned or defragmented my hard drive (I have only had this pc for around 1 month though)

I did all the other stuff you had said to do 

if you consider rainbow six siege to be a big game then yes  other big games have worked if rainbow six does not count as a big game then i can download call of duty warzone if you want

im just confused as to why my pc restarts, and doesn't just crash apex

@SlivPTS I play games like Valor ant Rocket league Brighella some r6 siege.

i have temperature monitoring apps already (MSI afterburner) and they say my gpu is around 65 to 70 when on rainbow six for 20 minutes 

but i don't think you understand. my game starts, I pass the EA screen and then i get to the screen where it says click to play and i would be on that screen for about 3 seconds and then it restarts my pc. 

So I cant test my temperature when the game runs for 5 seconds, but I have done stress tests like cinebench and i get 80 Celsius and cinebench is a max out CPU test full 100%usage 

ALSO this only happens to apex legends.

May want to go into command prompt and run a system scan also run a check disk scan also use DDU software to do a clean install on your drivers,memory test also.

@DarthValtrex How would anything overheat when apex runs for about 3 seconds? and those are just loading screens too. 

Also any stress test will not overheat (to shutdown) even if they are running for a long time. 

but my main confusion is that, I dont even get into the main menu, as soon as i get to the click to go to main menu screen it restarts pc

I got to get through the tutorial and then I went to do something and turned off my pc and then it started having this issue.

I went onto rainbow six siege which I think I close to as demanding as apex legends (not sure about this though) and I had at 1440p ultra settings 65 degrees (on GPU) running for around 30 minutes so i highly doubt it overheating

I'd also recommend looking for updated drivers for your GPU and there is no harm in creating a new Windows admin account and trying the game there to see if you see the same issue.
