You ever try out a legend a few times... not really get on with them, and banish them to depths of sunken Skull town before sleeping on the select screen and having them random selected whilst some skinfoozle takes your main??
But then go on and absolutely slap the lobby silly with them???
And then gradually blossom into a Maintionship with them??
I'm curious as to how this happens?? (Other than when first getting the game).
What are your thoughts???
For me this first happened with Wattson. Absolutely sucked with her my first several games. Game auto picked her. And i went and got my highest kills with her in persistent games and was my first 2k badge unlock!
But concerningly... It's starting to happen with Revanant!! 😱
I was struggling for wins this season compared to previous, Rev got autopicked. I was disheartened. Went on to absolutely shred the lobby with beautiful skill and win.
Still... i neglected. But again another autopick and did quite well (2nd - over eager in last 3)
So tonight, even after current situation of crapfest. I decided to pick him.
And I've been skilling up skinbags, squad wipes etc left right and centre.
Why?!?!
I don't particularly enjoy his abilities (though i think his ult is now much better).
So far it's Wattson and Rev so maybe it's a low-pro thing???
@1ronKeys This is me with Caustic lol, i truly despise the legend....but i seem to be pretty damn good with him. He has one of my higher win % per legend at the moment, he holds my second highest damage game over lifetime play (First being pre buff mirage o.O) and i generally get more kills with him.
Maybe its just experience from playing the game for so long but considering he doesn't fit my playstyle....i get the job done with him....and i don't even camp!
It's Revenant for me as well @1ronKeys . Start of the season I picked him (for some reason I can't remember) and went on to go on an absolute tear with him in a duos match. Decided I was going to main him for this season after that.
I'm curious if it has to do with overfamiliarity..
If I've been using the same legend for 100 fights and suddenly switch, my mind isn't programmed to using their abilities.
I'm wondering if this just makes you focus on the slaughter more??
You just get down to business of focussing on combat and shooting your gun instead of bamboozling them or turning them orange etc.
