Nerf Rampage???
Am I the only one that thinks this weapon is broken? I mean just take a look at the photo, this guy killed me in 5 bullets with a fire rate of the previous beast of a gun, Spitfire. Don't say my stat...
@soccerking122I think I can somehow talk about the S6 devo. The devotion just got out the carepackage with a very minimal nerf (they only reduced the magazine size) being ground loot. It wasn't really that OP but what happened in S6 mirrors what's happening now in S11.
At the release of S6, the Volt just came out. As we all know, Respawn tends to crank up the ground loot for some weapons they want us to use. They're putting energy ammo and weapons everywhere just like how everyone uses heavy ammo this season. A lot of people picked up the devo since energy weapons were plentiful and when there's a lot of devo in the game, it will annoy everyone hence the community asked for a nerf.
Same thing will happen with the rampage. A lot of people are picking it up now since the ground loot is mostly heavy ammo/weapons. I don't think the Rampage needs a huge nerf though. A small tweak to the damage will do.
Well the S6 devo with turbocharger could down a 3 man team even with less then stellar aim, im thinking the way the devo works its better as a carpackage drop then ground loot as it needs the turbocharger really and without its quite bleh atm, and im really missing the spitfire 🙂. The rampage I only feel queezy at long range as its negating the scout rifles, I never pick up scout, 3030 or triple take as I just get the rampage instead if I need mid long/range support..
Rampage (especially charged), Spitfire, and even more so Devotion are in my opinion high-risk high-reward weapons as while shooting them you are just standing target.
Start missing your shots and you are dead, the enemy team is fast/smart enough to focus you - dead.
They don't see you or it is closer range 1v1 - they are probably dead.
In my opinion crazy slow or more precisely pretty much non-existing movement is well balanced by the strength of those guns. E.g. today missed my shots and a dude killed me with Flatline via what seemed hipire judging his movement speed.
I still think that Rampage should be if nerfed then only in close-range recoil - could be like long-range lmg.
Spitfire stays the same best of both worlds.
Devo stays the same reliable in longer-range pokes, monster close range with turbo.
p.s. just had so much fun while turbo was in a crafter, pity others realized that as well at some point and it was Havocs and Devos all over the place, I think I was the only one seldomly running Rampage still 🙂
