@DoYaSeeMeNew season is a joke and definitely not gonna be around for season 3 if the game can last that long, Loot is so thin scares you barely have enough ammo to take on 2 squads ...and the circle is a disaster you’re going to make the first wave so tiny to get inside and yet implement crappy loot , the fact that you have to go from area to area just to find attachments for weapons signifies these people don’t listen or play their own game. What terrible loot system this game has
Very strange. A lot of these changes came straight from this very forum. Some of the vocal moaners about mid game being slow and how the ring should be faster. A lot of changes have come from feedback so for you to say they don't listen is absolute BS I'm afraid.
I'm surprised you're still here tbh. Thought you quit when S1 was so bad. Haven't you uninstalled yet?
The changes are great. The ring needed a buff and got it. I've been killed a few times by it..... Because I wasn't paying attention. That's my fault and nobody elses.
Not had an issue with ammo, or loot in general either. I'm guessing you are looking for x1 particular weapon and x1 hop up. Well, you can't do that. You have to run with what you find. It's a BR.
@Silz616 I can agree that the mid game was slow, but when Apex Elite came on, the matches got shorter, like 5-6 teams remaining by the time the first ring was about to close. I still see campers now, only they're in the central area, that's all. I believe there were more ways to make the mid game more dynamic and to push out campers. I was hoping that the creatures role was exactly that.
Other ideas that come to mind that could force players to stop camping or limit their venture outside the ring: the game could mark players on the map when spending more than 20-30 seconds outside the ring or not moving out from a small area (let's say within a radius of 15-25m) for more than 20-40 seconds. Or, make a new consumable item that scans an area just like Bloodhound (to be different, Bloodhound's ability could have an area scan with no visual effect, but just sound, while using the scanner consumable could have a strong visual effect and reveal your position as well to the ones caught in their radius).

I died to the ring once last night. Got into a gunfight that went on longer than expected and paid the price. I like it. It adds more tactics and awareness.
The ring was worthless before the change. I have footage of me waiting on a fight to end between 2 teams so I could pick up the banners of my team,. I had spent minutes in the ring with heals just sitting there waiting. No danger, no repercussions. It might as well have not been there. Pointless imo.
Much better now. You should always have one eye on the counter. Problem is, people got used to doing whatever they want when the ring closes. Now they have to change their gameplay but don't want to adapt.
Ring damage was the way to go, and it's working as intended imo.

Well, last night I shamelessly camped in a shack the ring in swamps (was forced to go afk for like 5-7 minutes), in the first and only match I played before hitting the pillow. I rejoined when there were like 6-5 teams remaining, soaked some damage for my team and died quickly to spectate our Bangalore, the last teammate still standing. She took the win alone, scratching the enemies then running away and using artillery strikes to keep the enemies outside the ring.
On one hand, it is cool that, with the new ring damage, there are less chances of teams being fully kitted and armored for battle, increasing the chances of solos and duos winning. On the other hand, it sucks defeating enemies without even seeing them drop and the game feels more like a running simulator after round 1. In any case, camping to win is still possible and easy to do.

It goes to show how widely different experiences can be, depending on who is in your lobby. I've only really come across 1 or 2 hardcore campers, but they've never been a full team of 3.
I do get why people don't like the new ring mechanics and it is quite jarring from the format that came before it. I have no doubt they will monitor and tweak this over time. Maybe it is a little to extreme now to be honest, but I'd be happy if it stayed this way, but I wouldn't be annoyed if they dial it back a bit, or revert it back completely. I do like it the way it is though and would like to see it stay a bit longer to see how players adapt first, before making more changes.
As I said earlier though, I think a harsher ring is the way to go imo.
