"And to add on, now the game doesn't value early game kills at all. "
Early game kills are valued you just have to have the game sense to make it to top ten and the value really starts to kick in.
Rambo that thinks they are gods greatest gift that get 12 kills off the bat but take on that one to many fights losses and places 14th will get nothing and be sad.
Get your kills in, do not push bad fights, especially if your teammates struggle and then play for placement to maximize your KP into RP.
Basically, adapt, overcome and conquer.
Sorry just to clarify a bit:
"Early game kills are valued you just have to have the game sense to make it to top ten and the value really starts to kick in."
I was not sure with this calculation because my RP doesn't match with the kills I have, please find below for the examples:
First game:13th
1 kill, 2 assists
base multiplier: 5
in the end I got 15 RP from kills
Teal total kills: 4
teammate 1: 0/3/0
teammate 2: 3/0/3
me: 1/2/2
Second game: 1st
1 kill, 4 assists
base multiplier: 25
in the end I got 125 RP from kills
Team total kills: 9
teammate 1: 1/5/1
teammate 2: 7/1/7
me: 1/4/1
I had this confusion that the RP was not calculated based on the final ranking in that game. One of my friend told me it's more like a "dynamic" kill RP now as the kill/assist RP are calculated based on when that kill/assist happens. Please help to correct me if I'm wrong.

You have to factor in participation RP, also the more kills you get at a certain point they have diminishing returns and I do not know how this affects the participation RP or when it kicks in for individual Kills and assists or what the modifiers are as EA has kept that in the dark.
It is a bit frustrating.
looking from your first game you got at least 3 participation point from teamate #2
Your second game netted you at least 8 participation points, 1 from teamate #1 and 7 from #2.

@Asmodeus566 Yeah I got the participation point design part. My bigger concern is this new RP system is giving me extra headache when making choices in game.
Previously in game, assume you are -20 at that moment, you know you will need to get 2 kills/assists to be at least gaining points from the game, so you would then want to take some risk to engage, or further camp until those 20 RP are added from the team rank, etc. Basically the information and the calculation is straight forward enough for you to make a decision.
This season, with the new RP system, I feel kind of lost that I do not know how many RP I would expect to get if I got another 2 kills/assists added. This may eventually be resolved by having more details/discussions over the formulas for RP calculation, however as far as what I read from the forum, etc, the calculation is based on dynamic game progress and team rank which is kind of a headache to make decisions in game.

The calculations can be a bit tough when you get into the nit and grit of them but basic calculations are still there and that is what matters.
Aiming for 10th or better placement with a few KP is the basic starting point Bronze to Gold after that more KP and placing 7-1. At least that is going to be my formula.
