A 2nd place finish with 2 kills is apparently good for only 68 points in Platinum.
Which isn't even enough to enter 2 games.
For 2nd place with 2 kills? The new rating system completely lacks a worthwhile rewards for good placements. And is ONLY rewarding for wins. And nothing else.
This means that climbing with randoms is being made increasingly unappealing, and further tilts the game heavily in favor of premades.
Season 2 was much better.
The new rating system is actually good though. You get 5 kills/assists and make the Top 3 squads and it means something. Assists works differently though. You need to be shooting the person at the same time for it to count at times. You could do the most damage in a team fight and get no assists for it. While another person gets the assist for like 5 damage because they shot at the same time.
But I do like the new ranking system way better than Season 1 Ranked. If this system was here from the start, I would have made predator last season.
I feel like I get points for doing nothing!
Even in a bad match where I die 60 seconds after landing I get some points for assist or damage.
I get ranked up although I dont feel like I got better and the next rank seems to be too tough for me!
The conlusion is I get shot more often the more I play and so playing gets worse with every rank.
In the end I have to stop playing ranked because its just frustrating OR I open up a new aaccount to get back to bronce and have fun...
Actually I believe many players open up multiple accounts, because I see a lot extreme good players on my rank , that are way over my skilllevel.
To me, this system feels not right!
Yeah I am not platinum, maybe the system changes at high ranks, idk.
i know right, try diamond, the 48 RP is killing me with randoms :D
Been stuck in diamond IV for ages now. I doubt i will ever rank up with solo que.
- I hate the 5 kills max, i mean im not the best KDR player (around 1.0), but when i get an very good game with 6 kills or more i want to be rewarded for it!!
