Next gen version VERY VERY SOON!

@Cheese9Man The ps4 update is already a predownload. If the ps5 version is out today it's not a predownload.

@hayhor It probably won’t go on top of our existing PS4 version but rather a new and separate version of the game altogether like the other PS4 games with a PS5 version.

@Cheese9Man Yes I get that. I'm saying I checked the store and you cannot predownload it.

@Cheese9Manbut in this case, the ones who are playing the PS5 and xbox X version will not be able to play with the other console as it will be considered as a different title, also there might be a problem with transferring player profiles ( saves and progress ).
a lot of games added the new-gen resolution and framerate within the same version of the game and unlocked as an option, warzone, Fortnite, and rouge company, and I strongly think Apex should be the same otherwise it's gonna be a mess

  @maximas1986 Consoles will maintain crossplay. I see no reason a ps5 version would change that. There are games that have ps5 versions that do this.

  @maximas1986 Its annoying that they can't make an Xbox one the same pool as the Series consoles as standard, I bought cod vanguard the enhanced version but if you turn off cross play can't find a match so have to play a very dated looking last gen version of the game just to stop me needing to turn off cross play and play vs PC players.

    @CAGOA34 Cod and apex are completely different in how they implement crossplay. Apex console only is all consoles. Cod xboxers don't have a console only option that includes PS players. Cod people are forced with PC.
    
    BF 2042 was similar in tha crossplay on was everyone. Crossplay off was only your actual console.
