Not true, though snipers mostly do suck completely.
If you end up with a charge rifle, the one sniper rifle that matters, then you do want a 4-8x on it.
Aside from that, yeah, ignore sniper rifles.

@MandatoryIDtag @lol! It’s true, though it tells everyone where you are.
No bullet drop, 4 shots before reload, does actual damage without needing a mod, really all you need is a scope. I’d rather have a 301, flatline or wingman otherwise then carry a sniper, because getting closer isn’t that much of a problem.
But part of this is not the game. Players have cried about sniper rifles hurting them for years. So now, in most games, they are useless. It’s, in fact, getting to the point that people are only happy with close range autofire spam BB guns.
