OMG Make it Stop, Please Make it Stop
So, I'm not having a good time in Arenas Ranked on one of my least favourite maps - Oasis. I decide to switch over to Arena PUBS, select the right screen, select my legend for the map (Overflow) and press 'Ready'.
The game starts. We're at Oasis. Okay, I think, the map must just have changed. So we have a close game and my squad is just second best (the Bang is pretty useless), and we lose in seven rounds.
And I lose 24 RP.
Because the game put me in Arenas Ranked instead of Pubs. I know this, as Pubs is selected as the default on my screen.
Never mind, say I, Arenas Ranked is now Phase Runner, which I like. So I switch over to Ranked, choose my legend and click ready.
Hmmm ... thanks to the brilliant match making I am paired with the useless Bang from the last match. Never mind, perhaps BH will be okay.
This is not going to go well. Bang and BH are downed within seconds and I am left 1v3 and Wattson is a beast. We lose the first round.
Never mind, there's always the second round ...
I am waiting in the waiting zone ...
I get the big word "ERROR' on my screen and the game crashes.
WTF?
I reload the game scared of an abandoning penalty I log back in. The game takes me straight back to the Arenas Game I was in. I am still in the waiting area, in the ring. I manage to get our of the rings. My TMs are already dead. I am dead in seconds.
Round Three Bang goes AFK, BH is useless and I am suicidal. I barely get a shot off before I am deaded.
Another 22 RPs lost.
I'd already had one abandoment penalty earlier for a server crash. The weird thing was following logging back in I was still able to play, but then I got ANOTHER abandoment penalty when THAT game ended, even though I did not abandon it!!
I've lost 120 RP today because of issues.
The 'Club' error screen is back when you win in Arenas.
Still getting stuck on the 'Your Squad' screen.
Still getting blank or plasticene legends on the squad selection screen.
RESPAWN, for a game that people pay money to play, it is simply not good enough. I know the game is free but I have spend money on it too. Not good enough.
I run my own business, and I know if the quality of my product was as poor as Apex Legends currently is, then I would go out of business.
it was noticeable how much easier PUBS was today. People are just not playing the games.
