@Kyldenar Hey man, I feel badly for coming off as argumentative about this, and I appreciate your thoughtful reply. I was just interested to explain that when Apex was made, a deliberate attempt was made to make the skill floor not be too high in the game. As the devs put it (paraphrased), they didn't want advanced movement techs to become commonly needed by players in order to compete. Thus the removal of some of TF2 movement mechanics. A tangible example I can point to was the removal of b-hop healing fairly early in Apex' life. There are dev interviews talking about this stuff.
Anyway, I think it would be fun to be able to do these things, but they would make the gaming experience for less skilled players even more miserable than it already is. Would I enjoy the game as much if people were constantly breaking my neck with wild movement tech? Maybe, but I don't thing I would. Sort of "be careful what you wish for," I guess was my message.
