Paid cosmetics now for free

Spoiler alert for this season's twitch drops

According to the dataminer, Hypermyst, previously paid cosmetics will be for free in this season's twitch drops. People were arguing that the cosmetics they paid for should not be given out for free or they should have some sort of refund.

People with these paid cosmetics also reported that they were missing the charms. So check the following cosmetics in your inventory if you've paid for them in the past. 

Do you think they give out cosmetics that people paid for? Or they should have just made new items for the drops?

Iced Out Charm: 500 apex coins

Cult Classic Devo: 500 AC

Tribal Glyph RE45: 500 AC

    @hayhor I believe some people paid for that DOC charm. It’s a nice looking charm but you wouldn’t see me using IRL money for charms. LOL.

    @Cheese9Man I'm sure the ones missing from accounts were removed on accident. I'd bet those items are multiple years old and been in store multiple times.

    I am going to be honest. If I want a thing, I buy it. I do not care if it comes later down the line discounted or free. I agreed with the price at the time, I am happy, the devs are happy, all good. I am not going to ask a refund months or years later.

    @AcidicSoda44031 This is the way I look at every purchase I make in life. I do not understand people that continuously check prices on items they already bought.

    I think the issue right now though is some items are missing from accounts.

    @Cheese9Man It's kind of a sticky subject. On one hand, charms aren't a big deal for many people. On the other hand, what if this is just the tip of the iceberg? How will people feel if they start giving away previous paid for character skins as Twitch drops? They probably can't do this with past battle pass skins, I imagine (from prior to season 13, was it?). Exclusivity has a value for some people, not just the physical aspect of something.

    I honestly dislike having twitch-exclusive skins at all, personally, but it's kind of like PS-exclusive items of the past.

    They may be testing the water.

    @AcidicSoda44031 Yeah uh um uh I do the same. I'll be even more honest, I have 0 idea what I paid for and what I did not pay for... I've definitely been a big supporter of the game and that's why I make most purchases. I'm simply wanting to support a game I enjoy and have fun playing.

    @hayhor yep. I do not understand that either. Especially months down the line.

    @DarthValtrex I bought DLCs for some games on Xbox 3 years ago, and 2 months ago I got the whole package free on PC because of the Epic Store discounts. Can't imagine asking a refund now.
