I've been playing since the 4th season. Arena has been there for the last 2 seasons. arena is just a part of 1500+ hours. However, the SBMM system is the same everywhere (Arena or BR).
I'm talking mostly about the arena. I often encounter similar situations when playing BR.
@l_mRGogo Personally in BR the only thing I am missing is a ban list, so I don't get constantly matched with players I have played before and with very bad results - offensive, lack of skill, rage quitting, etc.
Temp solution - in season 11 I have been playing only with set teams from Discord but even there I start to run out of people :D
Otherwise, I can't complain in terms of BR.
Arenas...f them, Apex would be better off creating FFA 1 vs 59 or something like that.

SBMM works the same system on the BR side and the Arena side.
Why is there a ranking system? Why do my teammates get Gold or Silver when I reach Diamon rank?- SBMM does not work by rank.
- SBMM does not work by level.
- SBMM does not work by played time.
- SBMM does not work according to the K/D ratio.
- SBMM doesn't run by overall performance either.
- SBMM does not work either by Average ping time or by region.
SBMM exists purely to keep players in the game and make money. You can join a team with a very nice skin or frame. Or, if you are constantly winning, it may immediately give you teammates that you cannot win. If the SBMM system wants you to win, it may give some to a decent (your level) team.
SBMM, I think, works on luck just like heirloom. (Heirloom 500 does not work in the package, this is a complete lie. There are tickets I created for EA.)
In short, SBMM does not work.

Take my first game of day. I was JM and pinged the small collection of buildings on SP close to those two big wooden buildings near the coast that are often a hot-drop point. We loot up ... except that Loba decides to run to the buildings and take on six enemies all on her own. She is knocked instantly and quits. I mutter "why did you go in alone, thanks!" to which Ash chuckles and comms is on. We co-ordinate brilliantly, leaping on the fight on those buildings and finishing off the survivors. We have another skirmish near a spider hatchery, advising each other, pointing out enemies, discussing strategy. We come out on top of that too then rotate to the barometer with four squads remaining. We have another couple of kills before I am low on health and get knocked by Valk tactical. Ash tries to tear me out of their but just fails, but the final three squad battle is in a building ... Ash goes Rampaging in and we win.
So, one 'trash' TM and one who was brilliant (and far better than me). How does that work. I know it's only one game but the times I get this situation, or with two trash TMs far outnumber the times I get two good ones.

How do you think it should be? How would you like it to be?- @l_mRGogo Just more consistent. I think kdr over the last 50 games played is the more accurate metric, but the rumours are Respawn base their MM on getting you to play again as opposed to giving you TMs who are level with you, skills wise.
