In GW2, we have that already, we have Toxic Chomper, toxic citron, toxic brain, etc. If you close to them, you get damage.
I think that is doable. The only thing to make it reasonable, he should have toxic aurora, smoking toxic fart around his body.
Another passive idea, when he is inside his smoke, his bullet is contaminated, so enemy get extra poison damage for few seconds.
@asukojo I like your idea as well. Like maybe +1 extra bullet damage to bullets that pass through his gas? (I do see that I set myself up for a passing gas joke)
