Pubs are terrible compared to Wildcard mode …

I haven’t found my self playing Apex and just losing track of time in awhile !! Great job with wildcard . Pubs teammate gets knocked immediately leaves wild card that rarely ever happens someone who just quits like in pubs Wild card even got me to buy the battle pass DO NOT take this mode out Thanks        I tried to play trios today after playing Wild card exclusively as of late unplayable

  • Funny. I play trios, even with all the warts, and then I go to Wildcard and it makes me want to jam a railroad spike into my eyeball. No, people don't quit much because Wildcard is a consequence-free zone. Why quit when deaths have absolutely no meaning and kills have absolutely no value? To me the whole thing looks like a bunch of 15 year old boys who just want to rub up against something without having it follow them home or give them a disease.

Since I’ve started playing apex this is the most fun I’ve had on this game in a long time.

I'm glad that you are enjoying it, and I'm glad it's getting traction with other players.

It isn't just that I don't personally like it. My larger concern is that all the aspects of Wildcard that water down the game will probably find their way into the main game over time. It's happened this way before. There's no reason why it shouldn't happen that way again. It's how we got evo shields. It's how we got mobile respawn beacons and mobile jump towers. It's how we got weapon arsenals. This list goes on. Most of these things, imo, had a detrimental effect on the game over the long term. In the short term they made kids feel like they were getting something new, and new things are fun. At least for a while. But really, it's like giving a hungry kid cotton candy and captain crunch. Sure does taste good. For about five minutes. A half hour latter he barfs it all up because what tastes good isn't always what's good for you. That's what's happening to this game right now. And Wildcard, I'm sorry to say, is the biggest step yet in the wrong direction.

The game is so old I would worry about the fun that’s right in front of you instead of worrying about the future just my opinion though

Best advice I've heard in a long time. But anxiety is in my nature. So here I am. Playing wildcard and experiencing exactly what Respawn thinks the main game will be in four or five more seasons. And I'll still be playing it. And hating it. And wishing there was some other game that had a learning curve that wouldn't require two years of my life just to get competent. Not sure how many more new games I have left in me at my age. Not that I'm dying or anything. Yet. But one thing you have less of as you get older is patience. And a few other things, but mostly patience. I keep looking at BF6 and thinking, Nope. Not going through this all again. It's just too much work for too little reward. Now watch - I'll be playing it by the new year. And probably hating it just as much as this game, except that I'll be far, far worse at it. So yeah, that ought to be fun.
