Question about my ban

I got banned from Apex 5 months into playing. I have a ton of games, but this is the only one that banned me for third party software. I try to keep my work away from my gaming, but it's hard on one PC. I usually close everything when I play Apex so none of my programs trigger their cheat detection even though it doesn't have to do with Apex. I think I * up 2 days ago when I forgot to close Apex while I was working. This was only 1 day after I bought the battle pass :,(.  I'm probably going to get some generic auto-response for the reason why I was banned, but Is there an easier way to separate my work from gaming? I don't have much trouble playing steam games while I code, but it seems like Apex has a problem with it lol. I don't have an extra PC lying anywhere, and I hate virtual machines. I could play Apex on my Xbox but I'm just a PC guy. Has anyone been in this mess? If so is there a way to resolve this?

  • EA Answers HQ can't help you with your ban other than to guide you to the right people to discuss your ban.

     You must contact the Terms of Service (ToS) team here.

    1. Click Contact us at the top of any page on EA Help.
    2. Select the game that your account was banned or suspended from. If it’s on your whole EA Account, choose Origin.
    3. Choose your platform.
    4. Select Manage my account, then Banned or suspended account.
    5. Fill out any other details below.
      • For example, if you picked Origin, it might ask you if you are accessing the game through an Origin Access membership.
    6. Click Select contact option.
    7. Sign in to your account that has the ban or suspension, if you aren’t already.

    @ElectronicGems

    When you were doing your "work", what programs/software did you have running? At least this would give a heads up/warning  to others

    Also I'll be honest here the only problem I'm having with this is on their reddit post they said they don't have anything to auto-ban or check for flags in place yet and they were implementing it in the next patch. Which means the review was done manually more than likely which makes it a little weird and fishy. Unless you were playing a different origin game at some point and they locked the account as a whole. I mean I program and code as well using a LOT of different 3rd party apps that would be considered to be "hacking tools" and haven't come across this issue because as you said I just close everything out and it's never a problem and usually if it does detect something it'll just close me out or error message me never got banned for it though because as I said there is no auto-check for the anti-cheat right now so most times it just disconnects or crashes.

    I keep hearing hackers just create a new account. Try that so at least you can play

  • Yeah, but I don't want to just make a new account. I want a main account with stats I work a lot for.

  • @VisualfEX I've been going at the game for months. I'm sure almost all account with the blatant hacks get banned pretty quickly when they use it. I'm not really pro level, I'm just gold III and I have like a 1:20 win/loss ratio.
